FIA Court Rawalpindi orders removal of FIA provisions in journalist Imran Riaz arrest case.
Anchorperson Imran Riaz was produced in the court of Special Magistrate Pervez Khan in Rawalpindi.
During the hearing, the lawyer said that it was requested that the case be dropped from Imran Riaz Khan. Special Magistrate Pervez Khan said that I am an FIA judge, this case does not come up in my court.
Imran Riaz Khan's lawyer argued that his client's weapons license and bullet-proof vehicle license had been revoked. He was arrested by Attock police at Islamabad Toll Plaza last night. It is requested that this case be dropped from Imran Riaz.
The court ordered the removal of FIA provisions in the Imran Riaz case and sent the case back to Attock.
Earlier, a local court in Attock declared the case of journalist Imran Riaz Khan out of its jurisdiction and directed him to be produced in the FIA court.
The Attock Magistrate's Court, after a brief hearing, ruled that it was not within the jurisdiction of the court to take the matter to the relevant forum.
It is to be noted that anchor Imran Riaz was arrested by the police of Attock district on Tuesday night, immediately after which his lawyers approached the Islamabad High Court and sought contempt of court action against the concerned authorities.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed anchor person Imran Riaz to approach the Lahore High Court (LHC) against his arrest.
The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court remarked that he had receive report last night that Imran Riaz had been arrest at Attock, Punjab, so the matter did not fall under the perview this court. It is your interest to approach at the Lahore High Court.
Imran Riaz's lawyer further said that Imran Riaz told him over the phone that he was at Islamabad Toll Plaza, thus his arrest was made from within the borders of Islamabad.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah while talking to Imran Riaz's lawyer remarked that at present this court is not giving any observation on this matter, if Lahore High Court says that arrest was made from Islamabad then that order will be brought here.
