Election of Chief Minister of Punjab; Two more votes of PML-N increased

 Raja Saghir PP 7 victory notification also released


The Electoral Commission has issued the notification of the success of Raja Sagheer Ahmed. On the other hand, the Islamabad High Court dismissed the contempt petition filed against the Electoral Commission for failing to disreport League member Kashif Chaudhry.

Muslim League-N has raised 2 more votes for the second round election of Chief Minister in Punjab.

The Electoral Commission has issued a notice of victory for PML-N candidate Raja Sagheer in the Rawalpindi PP-7 Kahota constituency.

In the counting of the rejected votes in the PP-7 quota, the PTI candidate, Colonel (retired) Shabbir Awan, had to go all out, and the lead of the PML-N candidate increased by another 6 votes.

In counting the votes rejected by the Electoral Commission, 12 more votes from PML-N's Umid and Raja Saghir and 6 more votes from PTI's candidate Shabbir Awan were found correct.

The total number of votes for Legi candidate Raja Saghir became 68,918 and PTI candidate Shabbir Awan at 68,863, after which Raja Saghir's lead increased from 49 votes to 55 votes.

Previously, PTI's application to count the entire constituency was rejected by Teller Kahuta, the same application was also rejected yesterday by the Election Commission for lack of evidence of fraud and irregularities.

On the other hand, the Islamabad High Court dismissed the contempt of court petition filed against the election for failing to de-notify PML-N MP Kashif Chaudhry despite his disqualification.

The opposition is strong

After winning 14 seats in the by-elections, the PTI's membership is 177, and its allied Muslim League-Q party has 10 assembly members, bringing the total number of opposition members to 187.

On the other hand, after winning 4 seats in the by-election, the number of PML-N members increased to 167, and after taking the oath, the PML-N vote will increase.

While PML-N has the support of 7 votes from the PPP, 4 votes from Azad and one vote from the Rah Haq Party, and currently the number of members of the governing alliance reaches 179.
