KARACHI: The flood relay passing through Lath Dam last night had caused traffic jam on the Super Highway and water had entered nearby villages. However, the administration carried out relief operations and restored the flow of traffic on the Super Highway.
The flood relay from Lath Dam in the city came on the superhighway last night due to which water had entered the residential society near Saadi Town.
In addition, traffic on the Super Highway was affected overnight, with cattle market and Hyderabad commuters facing problems for several hours.
After the flood relay passed, the rescue operations were started by the administration after which the traffic on both the tracks of the super highway was restored till morning.
On the other hand, when the flow of water in Malir river decreased, the link road was opened for traffic.
Meteorological Department has forecast today and tommorow more heavy rains in Karachi.
