A flood relay in Qila Saifullah district of Balochistan wiped out the village. Nine people were killed in the floods.
Six people, including women and children, were killed in a flash flood in Kali Malik Yar area of Pishin district while four children lost their lives when a wall collapsed in Panjgur.
DGP DMA Naseer Ahmad Nasir said that an emergency has been declared in various districts of Balochistan including Quetta in view of the threat of more rains.
Naseer Ahmad Nasir says the rains have caused severe damage to mud houses, crops and livestock, which is being estimated.
The golden bridge that was washed away in the floods in Kohlu district has not been restored yet. There are long queues of vehicles.
Deputy Commissioner Kohlu said that the flood relay was the biggest obstacle for the rehabilitation of the affected bridge.
On the other hand, on the direction of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, cleaning of drains has been started in Quetta. Visiting to tourist places has also been banned while PDMA, Levies, FC and Pakistan Army are engaged in rehabilitation works.
