Rules and regulations issued for by-polls in 20 provincial constituencies of Punjab

More than 52,000 police officers will be on duty in 20 constituencies in 14 districts to hold peaceful elections. The Pakistan Election Commission has also issued a voting scheme for the by-elections.

According to the code of conduct, on July 17, 52,000 Punjab policemen will ensure foolproof security at more than 3,100 polling stations in 20 constituencies of 14 wards.

According to the government, police security will guarantee the supply of electoral material at polling stations and full security will be provided until the ballot boxes are transferred to the offices of the tellers and the results are announced.

Candidates and their supporters will receive bail without any discrimination to guarantee 100% implementation of the Electoral Code of Conduct and prevention of fights.

According to regulations issued by the government, private guards, aerial shooting, display of weapons, dismantling of opposition camps and banners will be prohibited, while those involved in the incidents will be prosecuted without any discrimination.

According to the code of conduct, the youth of the Reserve Force and the Anti-Rights Force will be on standby to deal with emergencies, while the elections will be monitored at the Central Police Office and the control room at the district level. .

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Election Commission has released the final voting scheme for the by-elections in 20 Punjab Assembly constituencies, where a total of 4,579,898 voters will exercise their right to vote.

According to the Election Commission, the registered voters in the sub-constituencies include 2,460,206 male voters and 2,119,692 female voters.

According to the ECP, 3,131 polling stations have been set up for 20 electoral districts, with 731 polling stations for men and 700 polling stations for women. The number of joint polling stations is 1,700.

According to the report, the number of polling stations in these 20 constituencies is 9,562. A total of 1,900 polling stations have been declared sensitive, of which 696 have been declared highly sensitive.

According to the Electoral Commission, Lahore and Multan constituencies are among the most sensitive constituencies, while all Lahore polling stations have been declared sensitive.
